Fans, supporters and viewers of popular host Willie Revillame will surely have reason to rejoice because their idol will definitely return on TV as a certified talent of the newest and most aggressive broadcast network in the country, TV5. Now an official TV5 Kapatid, Willie will soon be hosting a new variety and game show entitled "Willing Willie" on primetime which will surely endear him more to his legions of followers all across the country and around the world. The program is managed by Wil Productions Inc. and is co-produced with TV5. In a contract signing held recently, TV5 Chairman Manny V. Pangilinan (MVP), welcomed Willie in the network’s stable of growing talents. “We have responded to the public clamor and we look forward to collaborating and working with the team of Willie and (VIVA) Boss Vic del Rosario in bringing the audience the best in Philippine entertainment,” MVP said. Willie rescinded his contract with his former network after his lawyers settled the legalities of his situation and gave him the go-ahead to sign up with TV5. This is good news to all his supporters and fans who felt deprived when the host ceased to appear in his previous noontime show. Willie is undoubtedly one of the few local personalities with a huge worldwide following and TV5 is answering the strong clamor for his return with a new show that will feature him at his best – giving out oodles of prizes and cash to studio audiences and viewers everywhere. “It took some time for us to give Willie the go ahead to sign up with a new network because we had to meticulously scrutinize all the technicalities and legalities of his former contract. We wanted to make sure that his transfer will be as smooth as possible, without further legal drawbacks and hitches that can hamper his growth in his new network. With everything we’ve done and the actions that we plan to do, we believe that Willie is on the clear to work and grow anywhere he wants,” stated Willie’s lawyer, Atty. Joel L. Bodegon. Willie’s new manager and business partner, Vic del Rosario, reveals that the decision to join the Kapatid network was because of TV5’s new management directions to bring quality program and excellent production on television. “Willie’s new show will undoubtedly bring joy to his legions of fans both here and abroad and will set the bar for primetime entertainment in today’s television,” declared Boss Vic.

Willie Revillame and TV5 big boss Manny V. Pangilinan have finally put in black-and-white the terms of Willie’s exclusive contract with the network at a hush-hush dinner-meeting last Sept. 7. “The contract-signing was done at a house in Forbes Park,” said the Funfare VDPA (Very Deep Penetration Agent) who is close to MVP. “I won’t even tell you whose house it was.” The contract-signing was witnessed by TV5 executives Bobby Barreiro and Rey Espinosa, VIVA Boss Vic del Rosario Jr., along with Willie’s lawyer Boy Regino, Willie’s uncle and Willie’s daughter Meryl Soriano. After the signing, Willie and MVP offered each other a toast of sparkling champagne, and the others followed suit. The VDPA didn’t reveal how much Willie is being paid. But another VDPA, who’s even closer to MVP, virtually confirmed the Funfare report that the contract is, indeed “multi-million” and Willie, who is the co-producer, will get P71 million a month inclusive of the salaries of the staff which resigned from ABS-CBN in sympathy with Willie. Still “cannot be reached” up to now, Willie according to those close to him is mum on a report that the staffers have been given by Willie fat signing bonuses. “Willie is guaranteed an earning of not less than P4-B in three years,” said the VDPA. “After all, it’s a guaranteed contract which means that whether or not the show goes on, Willie is financially safe and secure. The earnings will include revenues from casual advertising/plugging like what Willie used to do on Wowowee, to be split 50-50 between him and TV5.” As Funfare reported, Willie’s TV5 show is titled "Willing-Willie" but, despite persistent rumors that it will premiere on Oct. 10 (you know: 10-10-10), the VDPA simply confirmed that it will start “sometime next month.” Asked if it would be a noontime show or, as Funfare reported, an early-evening one on the 6-8pm slot, the VDPA smiled, “Will it be araw-araw or gabi-gabi? Abangan nyo na lang.” Willie will have three Co-Hosts, all beauty queens, one of them a former Miss Earth. Is Valenzuela City Councilor Shalani Soledad also being considered? The two VDPAs simply smiled. The show’s blurb says: Sama-sama tayo sa TV5. Tuloy ang saya. Tuloy ang pag-asa! It will be a co-production venture between TV5 and Wil Productions which is headed by Willie himself as Chairman and Vic as CEO. Work on the sets are being rushed for the show’s premier telecast. The studio has been cleared of other shows to give way to Willing-Willie. Eventually, the show will be telecast by Wil Network, the Oprah-type station Willie will reportedly put up in barely two years at Willie’s own Wil Tower (complex) located right across the street from the ABS-CBN Studios in Quezon City. “MVP will be Willie’s partner in Wil Network,” added the VDPAs. New games on the show include "Family Apir" (families pitted against each other), Go 1-2-3 and, the biggest one, "Spin-A-Wil" which will give away prizes that include P1-M cash, cars, and 12 house and lots donated by Sen. Manny Villar’s Camella Homes, one of which is fully furnished as the grand prize. The VDPA said that "Spin-A-Wil" will be played like a slot machine. You spin a wheel and if the pictures of three cars stop aligned, the contestant wins a car; if the three P1-M signs, prize up is P1-M; if pictures of the three houses, a house; and if the spinner hits the complete W-I-L signs, he goes home with the fully-furnished brand-new house (and lot).
