NBA MVP, FINALS MVP and ROOKIE of the YEAR 1995 - PRESENT

NBA MVP award given since the 1955–56 NBA season. The winner receives the Maurice Podoloff Trophy, which is named in honor of the 1st commissioner of the NBA who served from 1946 until his retirement in 1963. MVP voting takes place immediately following the regular season. Until the 1979–80 NBA season, the MVP was originally selected by a vote of NBA players. However, since the 1980–81 season, the award is decided by a panel of sportswriters and broadcasters throughout the United States and Canada, each of whom casts a vote for 1st to 5th place selections. Each 1st-place vote is worth 10 points; each 2nd-place vote is worth 7; each 3rd-place vote is worth 5, 4th-place is worth 3 and 5th-place is worth 1. Starting from 2010, one ballot was cast by fans through online voting. The player with the highest point total wins the award.

NBA Rookie of the Year award given since the 1952–53 NBA season, to the top rookie(s) of the regular season. The winner receives the Eddie Gottlieb Trophy, which is named in honor of the Philadelphia Warriors head coach who led the team to the 1946–47 NBA Championship. The winner is selected by a panel of sportswriters throughout the United States and Canada, each of whom casts a vote for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place selections. Each 1st-place vote is worth 5 points; each 2nd-place vote is worth 3 points; and each 3rd-place vote is worth 1 point. The player(s) with the highest point total, regardless of the number of 1st-place votes, wins the award.

The Bill Russell NBA Finals MVP Award (formerly known as the NBA Finals MVP Award) is an annual NBA award given since the 1969 NBA Finals. The award is decided by a panel of 9 media members, who cast vote after the conclusion of the final round. The person with the highest votes wins the award. In at least one NBA Finals, fans balloting on NBA.com accounted for the tenth vote. Originally, the award was a black trophy with a gold basketball-shaped sphere at the top, similar to the Larry O'Brien Championship Trophy, until a smaller trophy was introduced in 2005. On February 14, 2009, during the 2009 NBA All-Star Weekend in Phoenix, NBA Commissioner David Stern announced that the award would be renamed the "Bill Russell NBA Finals Most Valuable Player Award" in honor of 11-time NBA champion Bill Russell.
